Goodbye Bus!

Our very first American School Bus (the big yellow one) was initially designed as a mobile showroom.

When we started offering Roarsome Adventures during the pandemic we bought a 2nd bus. The Magic Green Bus was our first skoolie that was purpose built for family glamping.

It features bunk beds, a rock & roll double bed, a kitchenette and a seating area which assembles as a 5th bed if needed.

A couple of months ago we shared an opportunity for people to design their dream camper with our support.

One of our customers got in touch to ask whether we’d consider selling one of our converted American School Buses instead.

If you don’t ask, you don’t get!

After reflecting on all the good times we had together, we decided it was time to let her go.

So we agreed.

Our Magic Green Bus was going to a new home.

A few weeks later we were on our way to York to meet the new lucky owners on Fraisthorpe Beach.

The Sutton family are a bunch of legends!

We brought our friend Perry to capture the day and to our pleasant surprise, the Suttons brought a private chef from their friend’s restaurant Salt on the Harbour, to rustle up an incredible beach BBQ.

On the menu was Wansford trout that was freshly caught at 7am that morning!

While the BBQ warmed up, the girls Skye (age 9) & Elkie (age 7) went out for a surf in our new Roarsome Wetsuits.

It was low tide and a sunny day so it was perfect for a little paddle.

Lunch was served and we all ate together as one big family. The fish was absolutely delicious - compliments to the chef!

To our astonishment, the Sutton’s had even prepared Michelin Star, beach-themed deserts!

What looked like mini buckets of sand were actually pots of chocolate mousse topped with a gingerbread crumb and presented on shell plates.

By far the greatest beach BBQ we’ve ever attended!

As the sun started to set on a fantastic day, an early evening summer chill began to creep in.

The girls wrapped up in their new fleece-lined Roarsome Changing Robes and built a little fire to warm up.

We packed up the beach and took a final moment to thank our bus for all the great adventures we've had together over the last couple of years.

All that was left to do now was to hand over the keys and get back on the road.

We’re sad to see her go but we know she's in great hands and we know there are many more adventures & memories ahead.

Here’s one last look at The Magic Green Bus in all her glory.

If you want your own School Bus then we can help!

If you’d rather experience an adventure on one of our other American School Buses then you can do that too!
