Climate Crisis or Climate Corruption?

A couple of weeks ago, we went to Blue Earth Summit to hear about businesses who are leading the way in sustainability.

We heard one of the most inspirational talks of all time from Bertrand Piccard - an incredible man from a family of explorers. His great grandfather was the first man into the earths stratosphere (opening the door to space travel). His father was the first to reach the bottom of the Ocean (paving the way for deep sea submarines). Bertrand himself was the first to fly around the whole world without using a drop of fuel. Despite being told it was impossible, he built a custom plane powered only by solar energy, and completed the 42,000km journey.

He then made it his mission to find 1000 existing clean energy solutions around the world which could save the planet from the climate crisis, replacing fossil fuels while still being profitable.

If these solutions exist and they are not being implemented with absolute priority by global leaders off the back of COP26 then we should all ask ourselves “is this actually a climate crisis or should the media reposition it as climate corruption?”

The world that we all love can’t afford any more empty promises.

Much love to everyone campaigning for a better future and all the innovators who are proving the impossible is possible.
