5 Tips to Keep Children Engaged through Coronavirus

Helping parents to stay sane during quarantine

It’s a challenging time for everyone at the moment but that doesn’t mean we can’t make the most of it.

Here’s a few recommendations from the Dinoski team of what you can do to ensure your kids are entertained!

We can’t wait to get the Dinobus back out there!

  1. JUST DANCE!

Just Dance 2020 - the FREE YouTube game for kids.

Shout out to Aussie super-mum and influencer Rebecca Judd for this one.

Jump onto Just Dance 2020’s YouTube page on your TV. Choose a great song for the kids and let them go wild.

Our favourite picks?

Matt chose ‘Frozen 2 - Into the Unknown’.

Ed reckons its got to be ‘Justin Bieber - Sorry’.

Will highly recommends ‘Billie Eillish - bad guy’.

2. Go on a bear hunt

The teddy bear hunt is on! From Instagram @rosegardentea

It’s the simple game that has taken the world by storm.

All across the UK, and other parts of the worlds, parents are putting stuffed teddy bears in their windows for kids to see.

Take the kids out for a walk and see if they can spot one!

3. Get a pet dragon

There are some terrific Augmented Reality (AR) apps that can surprise and delight kids.

Our pick is AR Dragon which will let your child hatch and care for their own unique dragon.

The app is free to download with some in-app purchases.

BONUS TIP! On your iPhone, Google ‘bear’ and scroll down to select ‘View in 3D’. Thank us later!

4. GET EDucATIONAL

Want to know what a baby sloth sounds like?

The brilliant website, The Kids Should See This, has a whole bunch of entertaining and educational videos for kids of all ages.

Whether it’s silly videos such as ‘What do baby sloths sound like?’ or an animation on ‘The Story of Physics’, there is something for everyone.

Who says learning can’t be fun as well?
